At Shaka Surf Tenerife you will live to the fullest (or discover) your passion for surfing in Las Americas. We make sure that both adults and children have fun in the waves, always in complete safety thanks to our instructors with more than 20 years of experience.
And there’s even more! There are also fun excursions in SUP or Kayak to discover the wonders of the ocean and swim with the local fauna.

FUN ON WAVES FOR ALL LEVELS
Whether you are taking your first steps in the world of surfing, or you want to challenge yourself with professional level lessons, we will help you prepare to enjoy the incredible waves of Tenerife! You will have at your disposal a team of professionals who will help you to surf with confidence and safety mastering any of these techniques:
BEGINNER
If you have never tried it before or if you have very little experience on a surfboard
ADVANCED BEGINNER
If you already know how to stand up on the board and you want to start getting more confident
INTERMEDIATE
You know how to surf the wall with a soft board and you want to start with a short board.
ADVANCED
You know how to surf the wall on both the front side and the back side of the wave and want to start learning or improving your manoeuvres.
HOW ARE OUR SURF LESSONS IN TENERIFE SOUTH?
Not all classrooms have four walls...
WE WELCOME YOU AT SCHOOL
We are just 30 metres from Playa de las Américas. On arrival we will give you your wetsuit, special shoes and lycra. Then, we include you in your group (we work with a maximum of 6 students per instructor) and we give you a moment to get ready.
WE GIVE YOU A THEORY LESSON
In 20 minutes we give you an introduction to the basic techniques of surfing, from taking off, how to paddle, how to position yourself on the board, etc. Ah! And if you visit us from another country, language will not be a problem, we speak: Spanish, English, Italian, German, French, Croatian and Slovenian 😉.
HEAT IT UP AND LET'S GO!
Whether you have experience or not, we will always move at your pace and adapt to what you want to learn, being attentive to your doubts and always looking after your safety. At the end of your class, we will give you a delicious snack and water to recover your energy.

You will explore the charms of the Atlantic Ocean, in the crystal clear blue waters that are so characteristic of this region. We'll take you into the most iconic sea caves, great black volcanic cliffs and you'll have the chance to spot charming sea creatures.
We include everything you need to live the adventure to the fullest, from the equipment, a little training beforehand and even the photographs to immortalise your experience. All you have to do is have fun and enjoy yourself to the fullest!

It is an activity for any level of experience. In the calm bay of Los Cristianos beach you will acquire or improve your mastery and control of the board to feel comfortable and safe in the water. We also include the necessary equipment, snacks, photos of the experience and showers after the lesson.

Kayak – Sup
See colourful fish, be thrilled by dolphins, we make it happen! We even take you to discover the hidden and enchanting paradises of the south of Tenerife on a Kayak or Sup tour. Oh, and you can also swim with the marine fauna because we include snorkelling.

From what age can children take their surf lessons in Playa Las Americas?
We give private surf lessons to children up to 12 years old. Each child will have a monitor who will be looking after them exclusively to ensure their safety at all times.

After my surf, will I have somewhere to shower?
Yes! We will have a space for you to rinse off the sea water and change comfortably.
If I want to book a class or excursion with my friends, family or as a couple, can I do so?
Of course! All our activities are perfect to share with your partner, friends or family. In Shaka Surf Tenerife we will make you enjoy a different day.
